Match Report:
The Ferndale players thought they'd won this before a ball was kicked and this certainly showed early in the game, with sloppy passing and no possession, it was no surprise to see RSY take an early deserved lead. This seemed to make FY realize this was not going to be a stroll. Ryan P laid a lovely ball into the path of Jono S, who rounded the advancing keeper and shot home, 1-1.
Again FY failed to dominate, RSY played some good through balls, which eventually paid off with them taking a 2-1 lead. This was the wake up call FY needed, after a good cross by Cayman D, Tom B's early shot beat the keeper, 2-2. After a one, two from a corner Tom B floated the ball in for Alex G to head home, good efforts from JS and Ryan P followed. FY now stepping up the pressure and with the defence now looking more solid this let the midfield attack more. A long ball in to the box by CD was fumbled by Rock's goalkeeper, JS was quick to react to make it 4-2. Straight from the KO, a neat ball through to JS, saw him round the keeper to score his hat trick, 5-2. Towards the end of the half RSY awarded free-kick,a well worked free-kick saw our keeper pull off 2 saves the 2nd one an excellent single handed save at the near post that seemed destined to go into the net. Half time 5-2.
Early in the second half with a lovely through ball by JS, it looked liked Tom B could only score, but unfortunately he put it just wide. After a goal area scramble RSY put the ball past our keeper 5-3. FY still press forward with shots from Ryan A and RP going just wide. A goal kick by Ben H up to JS saw him once again take his chance to score (4) 6-3. Some good phases of passing which eventually lead to Tom B firing in to hit the post, he followed it up to hit the rebound home 7-3. Late on from a through ball by Neil C, Jake L beat the offside trap and with the keeper advancing, lobbed the ball into the net from 20yds out, 8-3.
Well done to both teams. ( thanks to Denise and Karen in helping compile the Match report, the jobs yours now)

Match Report:
After the slow start last week, it was good to see the players were up for it this week. Early possession was shared between both teams with no one having a shot at goal. After 20 mins with the match evenly balanced, Neil C fought hard to keep possession and then fired in a shot from 20yds out. This clipped the inside of the post and into the back of the net, 1-0 FY. This was the lift we needed and the team worked hard to once again get into the penalty box, where after a bit of a scramble Tom B cheekily backheeled into the net 2-0 . The half finished with no more goals, thanks to Liam, Ryan A and Elliot chasing down any breaks MY made.
2nd Half: After being asked at half time to keep it going, it was good to see the players do just that. From a corner Ryan P scored a fantastic header, unfortunately this was disallowed for a infringement by a fellow player.( shame, cracking goal). Shortly after FY are awarded a free kick about 25yds out, Cayman D took and floated the ball into the top right corner, 3-0 FY. Once again possession was evenly balanced and with 10mins to go MY on a break lost his man and drove the ball under an advancing Ben, 3-1. This is how the scoreline remained to full time. Well done to all the players, a good team effort.

Match Report
As expected a tough match against a very good 1st Division side. The players were asked to work hard, defend in numbers and for the first 15 mins this is exactly what they did. When NP got the goal their dominance deserved, what followed was some mesmerizing football. FY were then completely over ran for the remainder of the 1st half, 7-0 to NP. In the 2nd half, after changing some players positions, we were once again under the cosh. Some fine saves by Ben and last ditch tackling saw us concede another 3 goals in this half, but saw us perform a lot better. Well done to Nunnery, some lovely passing and a great work ethic.

Match Report
After 2 weeks with no match, on a great day to play a game, it was good to see FY respond well to some constructive criticism given after the last game we played. With some players having to play in different positions, it was good to see FY settle early on. Both teams were playing a passing game, which lead to scoring chances falling to both sides. After working the ball down the wing between AGJ & RP, Ryan set off on a run towards goal, PU's defender caught him, conceding a free kick. Up stepped Cayman, who drew a fine save from PU's goalkeeper. Once again the ball was worked into the box , PU cleared , only for Cayman to sweep in a lovely shot from 20yds out. Again chances fell to both teams , but FY took those that they created.
Tom aka Quif, after beating the offside trap rounded the keeper and scored 0-2.
After some good work up the right, Jono received the ball, beat the defender and shot low under the advancing keeper, 0-3.
Ryan P beat the offside and scored with a long low shot, 0-4.Half -time.
With PU having the advantage of playing down hill, some players were asked to play in different positions, well done to those who gave it their all. The second half started much the same as the first, PU had a fair bit of possession and broke through only for some last ditch tackling by our defenders to thwart them. RP picked out Quif with a ball from the half way line, who rounded the keeper and tapped home 0 - 5. Alex aka squirm worked hard to win the ball, overlapped with RP, early ball into Quif, who with 2 defenders closing him down, coolly slotted past the keeper,(Hat - trick) 0 - 6. Fair play to PU they kept pressing and in the dying minutes this paid off when Ben finely saved their 1st shot, he had no chance with the rebound. A clean sheet would have been nice, remember to play to full time lads, but can't moan with that result. Well done to you all.
