U10s Ferndale Youth Girls match reports
Saturday 22nd September
Kinver U10 Girls 1 v Ferndale Youth Girls U10 1 (Sophie Hadley 8m)
The U10 girls travelled to Kinver on the back of a 3-0 win over Pershore the previous week and were in good spirits. With Both managers away on work duties it was down to the director of girls football to step in and manage the team.
Ferndale opened the score line with a fine goal on 8 minutes from Sophie Hadley, and the lead could have been extended a few minutes later when a shot from player of the match Morgan Lawley went just wide. Kinver fought hard and manged to get the equaliser just before the half time when Fendale were caught on the break, brave keeping from Nancy Stringer nearly prevented the goal going in. A good result for the youngest team and i feel sure they will continue to improve as the season progresses.
Well done to all the girls.
